On vacation I used to lug around my Nikon D90, with a massive lens and polarizer – and I got some great pictures with it. It’s big and heavy, but if I’m going somewhere particularly picturesque I might still take it along.
But when I started diving I wanted to get photos of the cool stuff I saw. The D90 was going to be impractical in many ways to take on a dive. My search led to to the Cannon D30 which is water proof down to 80 feet. What more it takes some great pictures on land too. It’s become my versatile vacation sidekick.
